Greetings from New Haven! Specficially, Yale University, Timothy Dwight College.
4 weeks of hanging out with disgustingly educated and opinionated kids who all want to become world leaders, corporate/criminal/international/etc lawyers, and politicians. Well, I could complain for a lifetime, but I'll continue.
Life here at Junior Statesmen Summer School is peaceful, albeit busy. I have 3 hours of AP Government (senior class at FC), 3 hours of Public Speaking (EASY!!!), and 2 hours of Congressional Workshop (Presiding Officer time). Which basically means 8 hours of "school". And yes, for those finger-counting, that is MORE hours than our school (7 hours at FC).
All my teachers have PhD's, it's so great. I know one of the professors was a US Congressman for awhile, and they've all been very successful people. My AP Government teacher, Dr. Supina, carries a refreshingly liberal bias.

. My Public Speaking teacher coaches forensics at her college. And even though the L/D'er turnout isn't as good as I had hoped... bah, less competition for me

.
We get 120 pages (no typo here) of reading in our textbooks/night, it is required to read the New York Times EVERY MORNING during breakfast for a prompt discussion at 8:30 AM. We get 2 hours of "free" time (9-10 PM, 10-11 PM), which is basically when we don't have class (so it's homework time, bah). So there's a lot of work, but I intend on going to the Yale Bookstore tomorrow if I have time.
The campus is... well, it's 1:50 AM, I'll continue this rant if y'all wish.
CALLS/TEXTS would be appreciated.
